VITAE APPAREL LOOKBOOK and Haul

Hello my fellow readers, it has been a really long time since I have posted anything here on my blog. I am so grateful for all of you and your kind comments on Instagram and it’s great to be back writing on this platform as well. In one of my photos, I attended a very special event hosted none other than Vitae Apparel and held their very first Warehouse sale. I was so excited that I even dragged my boyfriend to come with me. As promised, here is what I got at the sale. A few insta stories ago, I recently shared my SD card broke and it had all the footage of my try on’s. I was so upset because I took really great photos to share with you guys. What did I do after it broke,  I bought myself a new SD card and reshot all of the swimsuits I bought.

I seriously wanted to buy out the whole entire store, but we all know that is not possible. After trying on and pondering which suits I should buy, I have narrowed it down to three of these gorgeous pieces. From right to left all from their new line, the Polka Marilyn Top with the Bora Bottoms, Elisse Tan Babe set and the Doris set. All of the items that I purchased are from their recent line except the Bora Bottom.

One of my favourite sets is definitely the Elisse Tanbabe set that I am wearing here. Why you may ask it is my favourite? I love the colour grey, it is part of the monochrome colour family,  a minimalistic style and most importantly it is a great fit. This bikini has minimal coverage, so for those that don’t want to show too much skin, it might not be a hot pick for you, but I would totally recommend this for tanning as it has minimal lines and it is in the name Elise Tanbabe.

This next set is called Doris and this two-piece set is part of the high waisted bottoms collection. I recently shared my struggles about loving my body and being happy with it. My mid-drift is quite pudgy, I am 5 feet nothing and my thighs are wide and thick. I have always thought to myself that I should hide my body within my clothes and never wear a bathing suit again otherwise I would be judged. When Vitae came out with this set, I tried it on thinking I would look horrible and it possibly making my stomach look bigger. After wearing the swimsuit and Vitae posting other women wearing this suit with different body types. I realized, women shouldn’t feel pressured to have that model body look to wear this. To my followers especially women, please do not compare your body to others, instead, love and surround yourself with others that make you feel like a boss babe.

Last but not least, I am wearing the polka dot Marilyn top and Bora bottom. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the matching bottom with the top, however, the Bora bottom definitely is the “cherry on top”. This is my second favourite set because, the top is an underwire bra and is great for my larger chested friends to keep everything in and fun fact, Vitae named the top Marilyn because it channels the vintage style from Marilyn Monroe herself.

Recently, Vitae has been marketing on their Instagram on body positivity and what makes so excited about being an ambassador for this company is, all the of the swimwear you see on each girl that posts on social media have different body types and are women of colour.  The world is changing and I am honoured to be a part of something that shares these values on celebrating women .  I encourage all of my readers to really challenge yourself to make a positive impact and I have a discount code for you guys.  If you purchase any of these suits that I am wearing or any other suit on their website, use the code Gracely10 to receive 10% off your order.

I am so glad to be back and I have more blog post coming your way soon, if you haven’t done so yet, follow me on Instagram @gracelymodern for daily OOTDs, makeup, and more.

Cheers and I hope to hear from you guys soon,

Samantha
